SEG INSUBRIA
Hi all, it gives us great pleasure in announcing that PeriGeo has officially formed a student chapter in association with SEG (Society of Exploration Geophysicists), an initiative to promote geophysical studies.
The Society of Exploration Geophysicists is a global not-for-profit organization with a mission of connecting the world of applied geophysics. Founded in 1930, SEG provides information, tools, and resources vital to:
- Advancing the science of exploration geophysics
- Fostering common scientific interests
- Supporting humanitarian efforts
- Accelerating geophysical innovation
With many different projects and grants under the SEG umbrella for students, and having a great footing in energy transition, we hope that we can use this great platform to our advantage. To start with we started collaborating with different SEG chapters within Italy. The Italian Chapters in association with the SEG EAGE ITALIAN section were given space in the 40th GNGTS conference in Trieste. We also had an opportunity to present our present and future works and plans. This gave us confidence in making great collaborations within Italy.

Under the able leadership of Prof. Franz Livio, the active support of Prof. Alessandro Michetti, and 13 active members, along with past and present PeriGeo members working actively with Geophysics, we kick-started the SEG INSUBRIA Chapter in the name of God and Geosciences. Hoping to achieve great results we look forward to achieving great results.
