Our group at the congress of the European Seismological Commission

In September 2024, Francesca Ferrario and Michela Colombo participated to the 39th General Assembly of the European Seismological Commission, held in Corfu, Greece.
The congress gathered the scientific community working on seismology and related fields, and gave the opportunity to discuss the recent advancements and ongoing research.
Michela gave an oral talk entitled “Sensitivity analysis for probabilistic fault displacement hazard assessment (PFDHA): A one-factor-at-time test integrating most recent equations”, where she presented the activities carried out during her PhD project.
Francesca presented two posters, dealing with current research on the usefulness of geological maps for surface faulting hazard assessment (poster title: “Can geological maps predict the location of coseismic ruptures?”).
The second contribution (“A new Fault2SHA thematic laboratory: the Fault Displacement Hazard (FDH) Lab”) presents a thematic laboratory recently created under the umbrella of the Fault2SHA working group. Here you can check the lab mission and activities.
