Prof. Franz Livio Guides Perigeo Research Group in Seismic Tomography Data Analysis and Inversion

We are excited to share a recent highlight from the Perigeo Research Group! Prof. Franz Livio, a distinguished expert in structural geology, led a fascinating training session focused on seismic tomography, specifically demonstrating how to perform data analysis and inversion on our recently collected data.

Prof. Livio began with an engaging introduction to seismic tomography, explaining the fundamentals of how seismic waves travel through the Earth’s layers and how this information can be used to create detailed images of subsurface structures. His clear and insightful explanations provided us with a solid theoretical foundation, essential for understanding the intricacies of seismic data analysis.
